Yes, but only end-of-day data, no historical data. You can find more information about option symbols etc. at http://biz.yahoo.com/opt/.
What historical data is available?
Historical data is available from over 50 international exchanges. It depends upon the symbol how far the historical data goes back. You can check it out at http://chart.yahoo.com/d.
Dow Jones from
Microsoft from Jan-05-1987
How long does it take to download?
The length of download depends on the length of history you want to download, your Internet connection, Internet traffic, etc. With a fast Internet connection and without historical data, DataBull downloads up to 6,000 symbols per minute.
It isn't possible to download intraday data, only "intraday snapshot data" without historical intraday data.
Snapshots are taken at a given point of time. To update snapshot data, you have to define a time interval to ask the data source for the latest quotes. On the other hand, streaming quotes is the technology where data source notifies the recipient when new ticks appear. Intraday bars are build-up from individual trade ticks streaming to the recipient.
DataBull treats "intraday snapshot data" an end-of-day data, it will overwrite the last quote of the same day.
When I have different markets to download, do I have to wait until all markets are closed?
No, you can create up to 16 download lists with the companies you want to follow. I.e. per market, so you can download each market separately.

Setup cannot continue because some system files are out of date on your system. Click OK if you would like setup to update these files for you now. You will need to restart windows before you can run setup again. Click cancel to exit setup without updating system files.
After I OK update of the system files and reboot, I still get the same error message. How do I get DataBull setup to work?
If DataBull setup does not work on your computer it usually means there is something wrong with your computer system. There 3 known system problems that can cause this error.
1) You didn't close all programs running in the background. Shut them all down and try to install again. This will solve the problem in 90% of the cases.
2) The computers temporary directory is not on the system drive.
3) There is more than one version of MSVBVM60.DLL on your computer.
To check for condition (2) do the SET command from a command prompt dialog. This will list the setting of all environment variables on your computer including the TEMP variable. TEMP must point to a directory on the same drive that Windows is installed on. Instructions for correcting this setting are in the Microsoft Knowledge Base.
To check for condition (3) right click My Computer on your desktop and select Find. Then search you computer for MSVBVM60.DLL. There should only be one copy of this DLL on your computer. On Windows 95/98 it should be in the Windows\System folder. On NT/2000 it should be in the WINNT\System32 folder. Delete any other copies of MSVBVM60.DLL.
